Miguel celebrate his 7th Birthday at Big Red Barn (10.05.08)

Miguel turned 7 last Oct. 5, 2008. Last year we celebrated his 6th birthday at the Big Red Barn (BRB) in Tiendesitas Pasig City. He said “Mom, can i celebrate my 7th birthday here?”. We just said we’ll see. I was already looking for venue on where to celebrate his birthday. Luckily, they put up a branch in Westgate Alabang, Muntinlupa City. We immediately made an occular to see the place. It’s not that big like in Tiendesitas. But I think my son and his guests will loved the place. You know how kids love the play ground with big slides & tunnels. It’s like they’re in heaven. So we booked the place and start looking for suppliers. Even the theme it took me sometime to finalized it. I just ask Miguel on what he likes. He wants Iron Man, Spiderman, Batman… why not have a superheroes theme. I carefully selected the prizes for the games & balloon drop. Even getting my suppliers =). Hereunder are my suppliers (most of them are my friends in the wedding industry, some were sponsored by family, friends & relatives):

Wadhera - Francisco Wedding [01.04.08]

PHOTOS COURTESY BY LEE LLAMAS

Weddings @ Work really do wonders for overseas couple. The site really helps the couple plan & prepares wedding here in the Philippines. W@W has an extensive list of suppliers. Sunil inquired thru email. At first I met his cousins Oly & Edgar at Starbucks Glorietta sometime September 2006. Sunil & Maylene visits Manila in December 2006.

Sunil & Maylene is one of my overseas couple. They’re both Canadian citizen & they wanted to get married here in our country. And most of their relatives live here. The wedding was attended by his family, relatives and friends coming from different parts of the world. Friends from Canada, Sunil’s family friend and relatives from India and USA, and Maylene’s relative are from Ilocos. It was a well attended wedding. Everyone had a great time. We had cocktails at the foyer of Garden Ballroom while couple was having photo opt with their entourage at Luneta Park & Bay View. Wine & canapĂ©’s were served to guests. They were serenaded by Bernie Pasamba.

Their friends from Canada prepared a “Tinikling” dance number. One of their barkada rendered a song & prepared an audio visual presentation [AVP] for them. Cousins of Sunil played violin.

The couple carefully selected the menu for their guests. They also prepared vegetarian meals. Below was their chosen set meal:

Red Beets & Fennel Salad w/ Salmon Gravlax & Arugula w/ Dill Cream

Labadan - Chua Wedding [12.23.07]

Chantielle wants a simple wedding. Originally she wants a beach theme wedding. Since we booked the reception at Fernbrook, we changed the theme into a garden wedding & butterflies. But still she likes it simple from the invite to her gowns. Marcial's request is to have a bossa nova band played during the reception to entertain her guests. And his request was granted, we booked Serene8 to play music from the church to reception. Instead of buying tokens for the guests, they donated a percentage of their budget to World Vision.
