Partners for Distinction of the Bellevue Manila

It was a rainy Friday. But none of the invited Event Organizers [Wedding and Corporate] did not stop them to attend the workshop. This was held last September 22, 2007 at The Bellevue Manila, Alabang Muntinlupa City.

The workshop started at 8:00 am with a late breakfast at the main lobby. Too bad I miss it due to earlier commitment. But I was able to get there at lunch time. We had an express check-in to our assigned rooms. We had a free 15 minute massage at their Spa. I think that was not only 15 min but a 30 minute massage. I enjoyed every minute of it because I am a massage buff. After those superb massage my eyes gets droopy. I wanted to go to my room and sleep. And I would also like to try their ventosa massage. I’ll just have it scheduled on my next visit. Wishing that they offer discount for event organizer. ; )

After which, we went to their gym. This was to awaken our sleepy muscles & mind. Their trainer showed us the proper way of stretching and use of gym equipment. He even gave us advises on how to trim our triceps, biceps and the usual women problem… TUMMY. With our busy schedules hope we still have time to do it. Or just go to a BEAUTY CLINIC… : )

Then, we go back to Alabang Room for a short discussion on Duty Manager, Finance and Food & Beverage. We also had a tour to their kitchen and made some pistachios cookies and ensaymada.

Our last discussion was about the security system of The Bellevue Hotel. And we had the awarding of certificates. Right after that, we went to our rooms to rest and freshen up for our cocktails at 20/20 Sports Bar with a theme of Gypsy or Bohemian.

20/20 Sports Bar was decorated into a Bohemian Theme. A Tarot Reader and Tattoo Artist were present in the occasion. I even line-up for a Tarot Reader. My husband had his dragon tattoo in his arms. Most of the attendees were in Gypsy costume. They serve mouth-watering cocktail buffet and serve wines, juices, iced teas, sodas. It was hosted by Mr. Marex [I hope I spell it correctly], one of the participants who is also wedding planner / coordinator. We had games and prizes for the winners. It was a fun evening!

The Bellevue team has been very generous on that day. They have given raffle prizes:
2nd Prize: An Overnight Stay at The Bellevue Manila Hotel
1st Prize: 3 Days & 2 Nights Stay at Bohol for Two
Grand Prize: 3 Days & 2 Nights Stay at Mandarin Boracay Island for Two with Round Trip Ticket from Asian Spirit

And guess what who won the grand prize? ME! I won the grand prize at Mandarin Boracay Island. My first visit to Boracay is FREE! I and my husband are planning to bring our kids with us. And we are all excited! Thank you so much to The Bellevue Manila Team!

That’s not it. The next day, me and my husband were having breakfast at Café D’ Asie. We saw COACH FREDDIE ROACH, the famous trainer of Mr. Manny Pacquio. Of course, I won’t let it passed. I had a souvenir photo with him together with my husband. It was really a lucky day for me!

To the Bellevue Manila Team… Congratulations and More Power! Job well done!

Hope to see you again on the next workshop.

Circle for Success Workshop of Makati Shangri-La Hotel

Last August 13, 2007, Makati Shangri-La Hotel held a one day workshop for events planners / organizers. Only TWENTY (20) selected Events Coordinators / Planners are invited to attend the workshop. And I am very proud to be included in a group of few ones.

We started the workshop with a lunch buffet at Circles Events Café. It’s our chika chika moment with the Makati Shangri-La’s Events Management Team and fellow organizers. We have a sumptuous and delectable dishes prepared by their Chefs. One of my favorite is their mouthwatering and not too sweet tiramisu dessert.

After our lunch, we headed to our rooms to freshen up. They gave each one of us a complimentary overnight stay at one of their deluxe rooms w/ breakfast for two. I brought my children with me to experience an overnight stay in a five star hotel.

At around 2:30 pm, we started the workshop with an ice breaker. We met the key persons of Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Ms. Bea Villaroel (Director of Events Management) and her team tackle important details when booking events at their hotel. Ms. Joy Wassmer discussed the importance of communications to our events. Thus includes printing materials such as place cards, menu cards, etc. Other speakers are Mr. Marlon Hirsh, Director of Rooms; Mr. Jeremy Aniere, Resident Manager; Mr. Ace Esmeralda, Security Department Head. We also had our tour at the kitchen. Chef Alex Paul and Chef Yusaf Yaran lead the team to the pastry kitchen. They even test us with our creativity by decorating a carrot cake & a chocolate cake. After which, we had our tour at the different types of Makati Shangri-La’s room.

We ended the workshop with a Disney Themed Cocktail. Events Management Team and Organizers were in their best Disney costume. We all had great time. And I hope to be included once more in the next year CIRCLE FOR SUCCESS WORKSHOP.

More power to Makati Shangri-La’s Team!
